Fine dining is just a short
walk away from the Packwood House.
The famous Sherwood
Inn (est.1807) is located only a half block away
and offers fine dining in their dining room and more casual
fare is served in their full-service Tavern – both dining
areas offer unmatched views of Skaneateles Lake. Sherwood
Inn serves lunch and dinner daily year round and offers a
full breakfast menu on weekends. A seasonally-changing menu
is supplemented with daily special offerings which take advantage
of the freshest available ingredients. The Sherwood Inn also
has a full bar and extensive wine list.
Kabuki is one of the newest
additions to the local culinary scene. Located next door to
the Packwood House, Kabuki serves eclectic Asian cuisine and
has a great sushi bar at which you may also dine. Open year-round
for dinner only, serving seven days per week.
Bluewater
Grill and Sweetwater Café
are just across the street from the Packwood House and offer
casual dining year-round. Bluewater Grill serves lunch and
dinner every day and has a terrific outdoor patio where you
can soak up the local scenery. Sweetwater Café serves
breakfast and lunch and offers a selection of specialty coffees,
gourmet desserts, ice cream, homemade soups and salads.
Patisserie
is another great option for breakfast pastries, fresh desserts
or a mid-day treat. Located just behind the Sherwood Inn,
the Patisserie bakes fine French pastries, artisan breads
and other delicious treats daily. They offer an garden café
in which to sit and enjoy your snack and a coffee.
Valentine's Delicatessen is located next door to the Packwood House and across from the Gazebo. A village favorite, Valentines' offers fresh delicious pizzas with a variety of toppings as well as calzones, subs, wraps, grilled sandwiches and salads. Beer, snacks and soft drinks provide a one stop spot for carry out or plan to stay and eat in the back dining room. Valentine's is open for lunch and dinner. Call for delivery.
Doug’s
Fish Fry is a regional favorite. Located around the
corner from Packwood House, Doug’s offers fresh, quality
seafood served in a casual family atmosphere with dining either
indoors or outdoors on their back patio.
Johnny
Angel’s Heavenly Burgers is located near Doug’s
Fish Fry and is a casual and convenient stop for breakfast,
lunch or dinner. Their Angus ∏ pound burger’s
are infamous, as are their delicious breakfast platters.
Joe’s Pasta Garage is located in a beautifully-restored
stone building and serves tasty pasta dishes, personal pizzas,
salads and sandwiches. Open for lunch and dinner as well as
takeout service.
Another attractive dining option is a lunch or dinner cruise
on The Judge Ben Wiles –
the village’s historic cruise boat – which is
docked across the street from the Packwood House. Mid-Lakes
Navigation offers dining cruises on “The Judge”
May through September and require advance reservations.
The Krebs is one of Skaneateles’
oldest establishments, having served four generations in their
traditional setting. Offering traditional American fare, The
Krebs is open for dinner daily and serves a delicious Sunday
Brunch. A strict dress-code is well enforced, so call first
for details.
Located just outside the village,
Rosalie’s Cucina is
a short drive from the Packwood House. Rosalie’s serves
authentic Tuscan cuisine in their uniquely decorated and comfortable
setting. They also have a bakery on-site behind the restaurant
where they bake their home-made breads.
Mirbeau is located next
door to Rosalie’s Cucina and is also a short drive outside
of the village. Mirbeau’s dining room is open for breakfast,
lunch and dinner daily and features a fireplace, wood beamed
ceilings and outdoor dining on the porch. They also offer
a unique tasting menu and a fine wine list.
